Research, Writing, and Translation for New Auction. 

ABSTRACT

In Spring 2023 I was invited to contribute research and writing to New Auction's fourth instalment. New Auction is a new auction house based in Tokyo that specialises in modern and contemporary art. For this project I did intensive research into a number of works by international artists. Alongside this, I translated Japanese research and writing into English for the catalogue. Both my research and translations can be found in the digital and print catalogues for this auction. The auction was incredibly successful with most lots exceeding their estimate. My work was integral to grow the international reach of New Auction and its English speaking audience. Two pages of the catalogue have been used in public promotion, both feature descriptions that I wrote (David Hockney and Donald Judd).

Subsequently, I have contributed further research, writing, and translation for two further auctions.
