Writing
I have produced articles and research for academic journals, auction houses and media outlets. This is often based off my academic research interests. Many of these articles explore East Asian culture, Gender Identity, and Theoretical discourse. My article The Disrupt Project: Nikki S. Lee and Transcategorical Identities was published in the SJPG Research Journal in 2022. The article reexamines the photographic work of the Korean photographer Nikki S. Lee.
My Master's dissertation Mavo-Ricks: Transgender Transgressions in 1920s Japan was selected as the runner up for the Heinz Kaempfer Fund Award in 2024. The thesis explores the relationship between bodily autonomy, protest, and transgendering in Japan.
Working for New Auction (Tokyo, Japan), I have researched, written, and translated (Japanese to English) item descriptions for multiple auctions.
